A loose vibrator in a wedge bracket on a railroad car hopper makes a lot of noise, has limited life, and transmits only a small percentage of its vibratory force into the hopper to move material," says Ted Wadensten, founder of VIBCO, Inc., designer of the Power-Swivel bracket, and recipient of the U.S. Patent. "Additionally, when railroad car vibrators are securely wedged into the pocket, they can be extremely difficult to remove - often requiring the use of a sledge hammer. In one position, the Power-Swivel will secure the male wedge into the female pocket to ensure a tight and full-vibration-transfer fit. In the reverse position, it directs the vibratory force to ease the removal of the male vibrator wedge from the female vibrator bracket on the railroad car hopper.

Under both conditions and in both positions, the VIBCO Power-Swivel Bracket will help to eliminate the noise normally associated with using railroad car vibrators. Because it ensures a tight and secure fit, it will virtually eliminate the noise created by a loose vibrator rattling in the railroad car pocket. And because the Power-Swivel Bracket facilitates removing the vibrator from the pocket, the noise associated with the use of sledge hammers and other impact devices is also eliminated.
